Scott Frank, CAIA™, CPWA®

Most financial advisors learn about wealth management. I spent 15 years inside a family office watching it work — and watching it fail.

I joined the investment team of a prominent family office early in my career and stayed for nearly a decade and a half. In that time, I evaluated long-horizon investment opportunities across North and South America, Western and Eastern Europe, and the Far East — strategies built not for quarterly performance, but for generational stability. I watched how families that preserved wealth across generations made decisions differently. They governed. They coordinated. They never let one part of the plan drift from the others.

That experience changed how I think about retirement planning.

Because what pre-retirees actually need — tax coordination, income sequencing, investment discipline, estate alignment — isn't fundamentally different from what a well-run family office provides. It's just rarely delivered that way. Most people get pieces: an investment account here, an estate plan drafted and filed away there, a CPA who never talks to the financial advisor. Nobody owns the whole system.

That's the gap I built this practice to close.

I hold professional certifications in Alternative Investment Analysis (CAIA™) — the credential held by institutional allocators and hedge fund analysts — and Private Wealth Management (CPWA®), which focuses specifically on the complex planning needs of high-net-worth individuals and families. Together, they represent the two things I think about most: how capital behaves across markets and conditions, and how to translate that into a plan that actually works for a real family.

Over 20 years. One focus: building retirement systems that hold up.
